Deborah Lin, MD

Dr. Deborah Lin is a board-certified psychiatrist serving young adults at The Menninger Clinic. She earned her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and completed her residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. 

 

Dr. Lin’s background in English literature and psychoanalytically informed care allows her thoughtful, relational approach to patient treatment. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, and the Houston Psychoanalytic Society. In 2023, her work was published in Psychodynamic Psychiatry, exploring the topic of countertransference in inpatient settings and takes special interest in Asian American mental health and supporting the LGBTQ+ community. She was also recognized with a Clinical Excellence Award during her fellowship. 

 

Outside of work, Dr. Lin enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with her cats.
