James Garcia-Prats, LMSW, is an Associate Clinician with Menninger 360 at The Menninger Clinic. He brings a decade of experience supporting youth and young adults through education, mentorship, and community-based mental health work. 
 
Before joining The Menninger Clinic, James served as a Postsecondary Transition Advisor with KIPP Forward and as a Lead School-Based Navigator with Houston reVision, guiding students through academic and personal development while expanding access to mental health and social-emotional resources. Earlier in his career, he completed a social work internship at the OCD Institute of Texas, where he gained experience supporting individuals with OCD and related anxiety disorders. He also has a strong background in athletics and coaching, which shaped his collaborative, resilience-focused approach to care. 
 
James earned his Master of Social Work from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from St. Mary’s University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Luther College. He was recognized as the Professional Youth Worker of the Year by the Texas Network of Youth Services for his commitment to empowering young people and strengthening community connections. Outside of work, James enjoys soccer, community engagement, and exploring the intersection of movement, mindfulness, and mental health.
