Kierra Swindall, CTRS

Kierra Swindall, CTRS, is a Recreational Therapist at The Menninger Clinic. She develops and facilitates therapeutic recreation programs designed to support patients’ physical, emotional, social, and cognitive well-being. She works with patients to understand their individual needs, interests, and abilities and develops meaningful, goal-oriented activities as part of their treatment. 

 

Swindall has experience providing therapeutic recreation in behavioral health settings and collaborating with interdisciplinary treatment teams. Before joining Menninger, she worked as a recreational therapist at Houston Behavioral Hospital and Cypress Creek, where she developed individualized interventions to promote patient engagement, emotional understanding, and therapeutic growth. 

 

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management and Recreational Therapy from Oklahoma State University and is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification. She also holds certifications as a yoga instructor and Drumba instructor.
