A staff psychologist, Stuart Weir, PsyD, works with adult and young patients at The Menninger Clinic. His expertise includes the psychodynamic treatment of personality disorders and personality assessment with a focus on projective measures. His clinical interests include mentalization-based and transference-focused psychotherapies.
Dr. Weir completed a postdoctoral fellowship on Menninger's Professionals Program. His fellowship also included subspecialty training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and group consultation.
He completed a post-master's internship through Baylor College of Medicine and Menninger. During his internship, he worked primarily on Menninger's Compass Program for Young Adults and Adolescent Treatment Program. His internship also included a research rotation with an emphasis on personality disorders, attachment and mentalization-based therapy.
Dr. Weir completed his education at Biola University's Rosemead School of Psychology, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Psychology, as well as his master's and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology.
In addition to his role at Menninger, he's an assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine.
