Bonita Sur, PhD, is a staff psychologist at The Menninger Clinic. She is also an assistant professor in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Sur is a certified provider in cognitive processing therapy (CPT) for PTSD and cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBTI). She specializes in psychopathology and personality assessments as well as psychological assessments for complex medical procedures.
She is experienced in using cognitive behavioral and acceptance-based therapies to treat anxiety, trauma and sleep disorders; help patients cope with illness; and build motivation to make healthy lifestyle changes.
Dr. Sur earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Rochester, a master's degree in Psychology from Ohio University and a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Arizona.
She says she is proud to be a member of a collaborative and caring team that is truly dedicated to helping each patient navigate their unique set of challenges.
