Dallas has worked with children, adolescents and adults in the mental health field for more than 30 years. His experience has been in hospitals, residential treatment, outpatient and corrections. He has worked extensively with children in foster care environments and their foster and biological parents.
In 2012, he became a senior social worker at The Menninger Clinic, where he works on the Comprehensive Psychiatric Assessment Service.
Dallas completed the Trauma Center’s 40-hour Trauma-Sensitive Yoga course in 2013 and then completed the Trauma Center’s certification process in April, 2015. Since February 2015, he has taught Trauma-Sensitive Yoga at Menninger. His Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga work has been featured in the Houston Chronicle, and he has presented at national, international and statewide conferences. He has also shared his knowledge during local presentations to mental health providers and yoga teachers.
