, MD, PMH-C, is board certified in psychiatry and neurology and certified in perinatal mental health. She specializes in women’s mental health issues and the psychiatric treatment of women and men before, during and after the birth of a child. Dr. Netherton is the co-leader of the Menninger Moms Program
and an assistant professor in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine.
She has given a number of presentations about postpartum depression as well as mood disorders that affect women throughout the phases of adult life.
In 2015 Dr. Netherton served as a Postpartum Mental Health Training volunteer instructor for social workers and was a panelist at the screening of the film “Dark Side of the Full Moon,” which were part of Mental Health America of Greater Houston’s initiative to raise awareness about postpartum depression.
Dr. Netherton completed her adult psychiatry residency at Baylor College of Medicine, which included a rotation at The Menninger Clinic. She earned her bachelor of science degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
