Kira Ruben, LCSW, is a senior clinician with Menninger 360, our home-based community integration program. She has experience working with patients who have mood disorders, personality disorders and substance use disorders. While specializing in dialectical behavior therapy, she uses a patient-centered approach that also incorporates mentalization-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and experiential therapy techniques.
A member of the National Association of Social Workers, she earned a master's degree from the University of Houston Graduate School of Social Work and bachelor's degrees in Communications and Human and Family Development from the University of Houston.
Kira enjoys preparing an array of recipes (sometimes succeeding, sometimes failing), going on adventurous trips with her children, watching This Is Us because it gives her “the good cry” and, whenever possible, she loves taking long naps.
