Nancy Palyo, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, was appointed vice president and chief nursing officer in 2021. She had previously served as assistant vice president of Patient Care Services for 13 years. As CNO, she is responsible for nursing care across all Menninger service lines, quality, shared governance and nurse mentoring.
Palyo has worked at various psychiatric hospitals in Pittsburgh, Birmingham and Houston with responsibility for program development, quality assurance, house supervision and more. Throughout her career, her peers have recognized her contributions to nursing excellence with various honors and awards. In addition, she has been involved in nursing research and presentations at state and national conferences.
She earned a master of science degree in Nursing at the University of Phoenix, a bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration at the University of Alabama and an associate degree in Nursing at Allegheny Community College.
