Pegi Pung, MSN, RN, is The Menninger Clinic's interim chief nursing officer.

 

Pung previously worked as director of Quality Resources at Menninger, where she helped prepare The Clinic for a Joint Commission accreditation survey, supported the standard of care and managed compliance requirements. She also had responsibility for infection control, laboratory services, utilization management, patient advocacy, performance improvement and credentialing of faculty.

 

After leaving Menninger in 2009, Pung served as chief nursing officer for West Oaks Hospital from 2009-2010 and for Harris County Psychiatric Hospital from 2010-2015. She has been on the nursing faculty at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston since 2010.

 

Pegi earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing from University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio and her master's degree in Nursing from Texas Women's University in Houston.
