Sean Hurdiss, MD, is a staff psychiatrist in Menninger's Adult Division. He is also an assistant professor in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine.

 

Dr. Hurdiss comes to Menninger from the United States Navy, where he achieved the rank of lieutenant commander and served in a number of positions, the most recent of which was staff psychiatrist at the U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa in Okinawa, Japan.

 

His special focus is psychodynamic psychotherapy.

 

Dr. Hurdiss earned bachelor's degrees in Biology and Classics from Washington and Lee University and a medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center - San Antonio. He completed a psychiatry residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego.
