With millions self-quarantined at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, relationships are being tested in ways unimaginable just a few weeks ago. 

 

Spending all day — every day — together, often while attempting to homeschool children, can be stressful, especially for relationships that were struggling before the novel coronavirus arrived. That's why it's important to practice relationship distancing, according to John O'Neill, EdD, LCSW-S, LCDC, CAS, clinical director in Menninger's Outpatient Services.
