At Menninger, we’re committed to enhancing mental healthcare in the Houston area, particularly in underserved areas.
BridgeUp at Menninger
Since 2015, BridgeUp at Menninger has served more than 25,000 at-risk youth in the Greater Houston area by integrating social and emotional learning (SEL) and behavioral health in schools to enhance the wellbeing of vulnerable adolescents. Our work focuses on prevention and early intervention of behavioral and mental health disorders through schoolwide SEL programs, behavioral health supports and collaboration.
Through Magic Grants to schools and community organizations, BridgeUp transforms classrooms and schools into supportive communities where young people can be confident, compassionate and empowered to succeed in school and life.
The Gathering Place
Free vocational skills training, a wellness program, employment assistance and recreational and social activities are available for the more than 300 members of
The Gathering Place, a psychosocial clubhouse for adults with persistent mental illness.
Community Healthcare Needs Assessment
Menninger provides mental health services to adolescents and adults from the local, regional and national communities. Our Board of Directors approved the most recent
Community Healthcare Needs Assessment in November 2019. It reflects the portrait of mental health needs and outlines how Menninger aligns its services to help respond to the community's needs. You can also see the associated
implementation plan.
