Webinar to Focus on Perinatal Mental Health and AAPI Women
The Menninger Clinic in Houston is pleased to present a webinar about perinatal mental health and Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Women for mental health professionals.

Perinatal Mental Health and AAPI Women
Data suggests that postpartum depression affects 10-20% of women. Mood and somatoform disorders commonly affect women during the perinatal period (Gureje & Stein, 2014).
During this webinar, our presenters will focus on the intersection of perinatal mental health and cultural identities of the AAPI population, which is an area that has historically been understudied. They will discuss perinatal mental health disorders and how they can show up in AAPI populations. In addition, they will discuss cultural factors that affect the prevalence, diagnosis and treatment of perinatal disorders.
