Bobby Ortiz, Jr. is the Director of Major Gifts and Strategic Growth at The Menninger Clinic. In this role, he works closely with the Chief Development Officer to engage donors in advancing Menninger’s mission to transform mental health care through treatment, research, and education. His work focuses on philanthropic strategy, donor partnerships, and expanding access to high-quality mental health care for individuals and families.
With more than a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership and fundraising, Bobby has supported programs addressing homelessness, hunger, poverty, mental health, and substance use. He has held development roles at organizations including The Salvation Army, Volunteers of America, and U.S. VETS, bringing a broad understanding of mission-driven growth and community impact.
A U.S. Army veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Bobby brings a strong commitment to service and leadership. He earned an MBA from the University of Redlands and a BA in English from the University at Albany, State University of New York.
