Farisha Kamdar, RN, is a Psychiatric Registered Nurse at The Menninger Clinic, where she provides compassionate, safety-focused care as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team. In her role, she collaborates closely with clinicians to support patients throughout treatment, contribute to individualized care planning, and promote a therapeutic, recovery-oriented environment. She also serves in leadership roles, including charge nurse responsibilities, and supports patient and family education around treatment and continuity of care. 

 

Farisha brings experience across a range of psychiatric settings, including acute and subacute care, mood disorders, competency restoration, and child protective services programs. She is known for her strong clinical judgment, time management, and crisis intervention skills, as well as her commitment to patient safety, collaboration, and holistic care. 

 

She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. Farisha is actively involved in professional and community mental health initiatives, including leadership and educational roles within the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, NAMI, and community-based mental health programs focused on education, mentorship, and support.
