Stephen Chen

Stephen Chen is the Director of Revenue Cycle at The Menninger Clinic. He brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare revenue management, with expertise in patient financial services, insurance verification, payer relationships, and operational improvement. 

 

Before joining Menninger, Chen served as Vice President of Revenue Cycle at New Vista Behavioral Health in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he led initiatives to improve revenue cycle performance, streamline processes, and strengthen collaboration across departments. Previously, he spent nearly eight years as Director of Patient Financial Services at Laurel Ridge Treatment Center in San Antonio, Texas. His background also includes leadership roles at HCA/Parallon Business Solutions, where he focused on revenue recovery, insurance denials, and operational efficiency. 

 

Chen earned his bachelor's degree in International Business Management from The University of Texas at San Antonio and has pursued a Master of Business Administration in Management at Texas A&M University-Commerce.
