Mark S. Yurewicz, MD, is a staff psychiatrist on Menninger's Adult Treatment Program and is an assistant professor in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine. He is board certified in adult psychiatry and board certified in addiction psychiatry.
His interests include mindfulness for clinician wellness, medical education and psychiatric care of immigrants and refugees.
Dr. Yurewicz is a member of the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association and the Houston Psychiatric Society.
He has presented on mindfulness, meditation, group therapy for refugees, opiate use and culturally-informed assessments.
Dr. Yurewicz earned his bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from Rice University and his medical degree from the University of Texas at Southwestern. He completed a residency in Psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine and a fellowship in Addictions Psychiatry, also at Baylor College of Medicine.
